Moon Magick

The Moon, the beautiful physical form of our many faced Goddess. – Yes I’m a lunaphile/selenophile.

The Moon is our best magickal booster, and when you learn to plan your magickal workings around the moon – whether you’re aligning your work during a specific full moon, or during a specific moment when the moon is passing through a specific constellation – you can see multiplied results.

This course will share with you the full moons through the year, the moon on each day of the week, and the moon in all her phases. Basics, of course, that you can use to begin your own moon magic practice.

Quick plug – if you’re infected with moon madness like I am you will find the Planner For A Magical Year (whether you buy it in full color or buy the coloring book of shadows version) an amazing tool as the creatress, Amy Cesari, packs a LOT of beautiful information into her planner.

Here’s a link to Amy Cesari’s website where you can find pdf hand outs and if you sign up for her emails, she will email you more. I’m a big fan though I’m not associated with her in any way other than I purchased the 2023 planner for myself and I also purchased one for a dear soul sister in Canada to take advantage of. (love to you, dear one).

Lets start in the beginning – the phases.

The Moon has five phases. New, Waxing, Full, Waning and Dark.

The New Moon is the very first sliver of light, a faint crescent after the Dark moon.

The Waxing Moon is the time between the New Moon and the Full Moon as the light increases from that slight crescent until the moon is completely illuminated.

The Full Moon is when that moon is round and full and bright.

The Waning Moon is the time between the full moon and the dark moon, as the light seems to decrease from a full orb to a slight sliver of light.

The Dark Moon my favorite phase – is that moment between the last sliver of the waning moon and the first sliver of the new moon, (astronomically, the moon is in the sky at the same time as the sun so there is no moon at night).

Check the PDF Below for the significance of full moons in each month.

There are typically 13 full moons in a calendar year. Each has it’s own energy it brings, so just like everything else, you can magnify, enhance and boost specific efforts.

Check the PDF Below for the significance of full moons on each day of the week now:

Just like the full moons in each month having specific energy, the day of the week the full moon lands on, also brings specific energy you can use to magnify, enhance and boost specific efforts.
