Easter Sunday
Combining the lessons in my Moon Magic course and The Moon and the Zodiac course, we are able to identify the best, strongest and most potent days to work magick to help bring us closer to our goals, protect us, or help rid things that no longer serve our highest purpose.
So – With the knowledge of those courses within us – here’s how today’s energies align… May you find a way to work with today’s energies to help you get closer to your goal, achieve what you desire, protect yourself or rid things that no longer align with you.
EASTER SUNDAY!!!
Whether you’re looking at it through a Christian lense or a Pagan lense, Easter Sunday sits at a powerful crossroads of transformation. While the specific stories differ, the underlying “spiritual electricity” of the day is remarkably similar. It’s about the definitive victory of life over stasis.
The Theme of the Great Return
For both Christians and Pagans, this time of year marks the end of a long “holding pattern”.
For Christians – It’s the resurrection – the moment Christ returns from the dead, signaling that death is not permanent end but a transition.
For Pagans – it aligns with Ostara (Spring Equinox) celebrating the return of the Sun and the Goddess from the “underworld” of winter. The spiritual relevance here is renewal – the idea that no matter how cold or dark a season of life feels, the “green” will always return.
Fertility and Potential
The symbols we see everywhere – eggs, rabbits, and lilies – have deep spiritual roots in the concept of latent power.
The Egg – in many pagan traditions the “cosmic egg” represents the universe in a state of potential. Spiritually, this is a day to focus on “cracking open” new ideas or projects that have been incubating during the winter.
The Hare – often associated with the goddess Eostre, the rabbit represents prolific life. In a spiritual sense, this is about abundance and the rapid growth of one’s intentions.
The Balance of Light and Dark
Easter is tied to the lunar calendar – falling on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the Equinox. This creates a specific spiritual “frequency”.
Equilibrium – because it occurs near the equinox, it’s a time of balance. It’s a spiritual invitation to look at your own life and find the middle ground between your “inner” (shadow) self and your “outer” (light) self.
Ascension – both traditions celebrate a “rising”. Whether it’s a deity ascending to heaven or the sap rising in the trees, the day is spiritually relevant for anyone looking to elevate their perspective or move beyond a past mistake.
Beyond dogma, the spiritual relevance of this day is hope as an active force. It’s a reminder that nature, and the human spirit, is designed to bounce back. It’s a day for “clearing the deck” – washing away the old habits of winter to make room for a fresh start.
Day – Sunday lends energies to efforts focused on goals, wellness, merriment, personal finances, career advancement, produce or crops, legal matters, “guy stuff”, and business/professional partnerships.
Zodiac – The moon starts out in Scorpio today. The Moon in Scorpio lends energies to sexual matters, power, psychic growth, secrets and fundamental transformations.
At 5:29pm ET the moon moves out of Scorpio and goes Void of Course.
At 7:32pm ET, the moon moves into Sagittarius. The moon in Sagittarius lends energies to things related to publications, legal matters, travel and truth.
Moon – The moon is in a Waning Gibbous. This energy lends towards efforts of discarding, banishment, and releasing the things which no longer serve your highest purposes. When the moon goes waning, our intentions have to be set just so that we are achieving what we want, not working against ourselves.
So today – Reflecting on the spiritual significance of the day, the Waning Moon and Scorpio (until 5:29pm ET) combined with Sunday – this is a great time to focus on removing, banishing, dismissing anything standing in between you and fundamental transformations. That could be career related, finance related, or spiritual even. Whatever that means for you – it’s time to clear out what is holding you back.
Take a break while the moon is Void of Course and this evening, when the moon moves into Sagittarius – you can pivot to focusing on removing, banishing or dismissing anything negatively impacting your efforts in legal matters, your travel plans or your efforts to seek out the truth.
Whatever you choose to do today, be clear with your intention and mindful with your words. Happy Manifesting!
