Mercury Retrograde Ends Today! – After a few weeks of communication snags and tech glitches, the first Mercury Retrograde of 2026 is finally over! As the Mercury stations direct in the sign of Pisces, you may feel the “mental fog” lifting. This is a great time to stop reflecting and start acting!
While the retrograde officially ends today, astrologers often point to a “shadow period” or retroshade that lasts for about two weeks afterward. During this time, the energy will gradually stabilize.
What to expect based on your sign:
Water Signs (Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio) you likely felt this transit deeply. Expect a boost in emotional clarity and a sudden resolution to any “stuck” creative projects.
Air Signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) Since Mercury rules Gemini, you probably felt more scattered than usual. You’ll find your focus returning and your social calendar becoming much easier to manage.
Earth/Fire Signs: For you, the shift will likely manifest as smoother logistics – fewer “lost in translation” emails and more productive meetings.
Pro Tip: Even though the retrograde ends today, give it a day or two before you hit “send” on any life-altering emails. Mercury is still “waking up”.
Ostara – Spring Equinox! – In the Northern Hemisphere, the Spring Equinox marks the start of astronomical spring. Many celebrate this as Ostara, a festival of balance, renewal and the literal “return of light”.
What makes today particularly unique is a “double green light” effect. Having the equinox and the end of Mercury Retrograde on the exact same day creates a powerful energetic shift.
The Equinox (Ostara) represends the moment day and night are of equal length. It’s the “astrological new year” as the Sun enters Aries (the first sign in the Zodiac).
Mercury Direct the planet of communication stations direct in Pisces, the mental fog of the last 3 weeks begins to dissipate right as the “new year” starts.
Fun Fact: This is the first time in years that the Spring Equinox has aligned so perfectly with the end of a Mercury Retrograde, making it an exceptionally good day for “re-starting” any project that got derailed in February.
Day – Friday lends energies to efforts around Romance, love, friendship, dating, pleasure, partners, unions and fertility.
Zodiac – The moon starts out in Aries today. The moon in Aries lends energy toward efforts regarding leadership, authority, rebirth, spiritual conversion or willpower.
At 5:24am ET, the moon moves out of Aries and goes Void of Course. When the moon is void of course, refrain from working any magic as the energies will be void.
Moon – The moon is in the Waxing Crescent phase now which lends energies towards drawing in, manifesting, luck, growth, increasing and attracting things we desire.
So today – With all the things happening today, we are actually going to take the day off to cleanse, rest and recharge as the moon is Void of Course. This doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate Ostara however you see fit. I would just advise against working any serious spells or working to manifest anything life-altering because we dont want those efforts to fizzle out into the void.
