Based on the energies of the day, the moon phase and the zodiac the moon is in…

Pisces
Happy St Patrick’s Day

Combining the lessons in my Moon Magic course and The Moon and the Zodiac course, we are able to identify the best, strongest and most potent days to work magick to help bring us closer to our goals, protect us, or help rid things that no longer serve our highest purpose.

So – With the knowledge of those courses within us – here’s how today’s energies align… May you find a way to work with today’s energies to help you get closer to your goal, achieve what you desire, protect yourself or rid things that no longer align with you.

St Patrick’s Day – Beyond the parades and pints, the spiritual heart of St. Patrick’s Day is a story of transformation, forgiveness and the synthesis of cultures. While St Patrick’s Day is a Christian feast day, it is essentially a “cultural layer” sitting directly on top of ancient pagan foundations. Because Patrick’s mission was based on syncretism – the blending of new beliefs with existing ones – many of the holiday’s most famous symbols are actually repurposed polytheistic (pagan) concepts.

1) The Solar Connection (The Celtic Cross)
In pre-Christian Ireland, the sun was a central deity/symbol of life. When St. Patrick (or his successors)designed the Celtic Cross, they placed a circle (the sun) behind the cross.
The Pagan Intent: To honor the sun’s life-giving power.
The Synthesis: By merging the two, Patrick singaled that the new “Son of God” was as vital and powerful as the “Sun in the Sky,” making the transition to a new religion less jarring for the local population

2) The Power of Three (The Shamrock)
The shamrock’s effectiveness wasn’t just about it being a common weed; it was because the number three was already sacred in Celtic polytheism.
Triple Deities: The Celts worshipped many “triple goddesses,” such as The Morrigan (Fate/War) and Brigid (Healing/Smithing/Poetry)
The Spiritual Logic: Patrick used a plant that already held spiritual “weight” for the Pagans to explain the Holy Trinity. He didn’t invent the reverence for the tree-leafed shape; he simply changed what it represented.

3) The Vernal Equinox & Ostara
St Patrick’s Day (March 17) falls just days before the Spring Equinox
Ostara in Germanic and some Celtic-adjacent traditions, this time of year was dedicated to the goddess Eostre (or Ostara) and the return of light and fertility.
The Shift by placing a major saint’s feast day right at the traditional “rebirth of the year” the church effectively funneled the energy of the pagan spring festivals into a Christian context.

4) Leprechauns and the “Aos Si”
The leprechaun is a direct descendant of the Tuatha De Danann, the ancient gods of Irish mythology. After the arrival of Christianity, these once-mighty deities were “demoted” in folklore to the Aos Si (people of the mounds) or fairies.
Evolution The leprechaun (originally luchorpan) was a solitary fairy/nature spirit. While modern celebrations make them cute mascots, they are “fossilized” remains of an older, polytheistic world where nature spirits had to be appeased with offerings.

Interesting note: Many scholars believe the “snakes” Patrick drove out were actually a metaphor for the Druids, whose spiritual power was “banished” by the new Christian order.

Day – Tuesday lends its energies to efforts of a physical nature like getting in shape or increasing physical endurance.

Zodiac – The moon in Pisces lends energies towards efforts involving sexual matters, power, psychic growth, secrets and fundamental transformations

Moon – The moon is in a Waning Crescent. This energy lends towards efforts of discarding, banishment, and releasing the things which no longer serve your highest purposes. When the moon goes waning, our intentions have to be set just so that we are achieving what we want, not working against ourselves.

So today – You have options today…

First option is that you can choose to combine the Waning Moon with Tuesday to focus on removing things in your life that negatively impact your efforts to get in shape or increase physical endurance.

You can also choose to combine the Waning Moon with Pisces to remove anything negatively affecting your efforts toward psychic growth.

Yes, you can choose to do BOTH!

Whatever you choose to do today, remember to be clear with your intention and mindful with your words. Happy Manifesting!
