Mercury Retrograde begins today!
While all Mercury Retrogrades involve tech glitches, travel delays and miscommunications, the flavor of this one is particularly emotional and nebulous.
Logic vs Intuition – clear facts may feel like they’re dissolving into thin air.
Fog Factor – Expect a lot of “I thought you meant” or “i could have sworn I sent that”. Plans may feel slippery and your brain may feel a bit more tired or foggy than usual.
Spiritual Rewind – this is actually a beautiful time for revisiting old creative projects, dream journaling or returning to a meditation practice you let slide.
Practical Survival Guide for this Retrograde:
Communication – confirm everything twice. If a message seems hurtful, wait 24 hours to respond.
Technology – Back up your files ASAP!
Travel – Leave 20 minutes earlier than you think you need to.
Social – People from the past may begin resurfacing – Use this for closure – you are NOT obligated to invite them back into your life permanently.
Who will feel this the most:
Pisces – you might feel like your “GPS” is temporarily broken. Use this time to rest rather than push for new results.
Virgo, Gemini, and Sagittarius – you’ll likely feel the friction in your daily routines or relationships
Gemini and Virgo specifically – Since Mercury is your ruling planet, you’re always the most sensitive to its mood swings.
There is a silver lining – Because this retrograde happens just after the solar eclipse, this retrograde acts as a “filter”. The eclipse brings the big changes, and the retrograde helps you process the emotions behind those changes. It’s a period for feeling your way through the next steps rather than thinking your way through them.
Day – Thursday lends energies to efforts involving socializing, traveling, gambling, religious pursuits, foreign interests, luck, achievements, and self improvement.
Zodiac – The moon starts out Void of Course (VOC) today. When the moon is void of course, refrain from working any magic as the energies will be void.
At 12:11am Eastern Time, the moon moves into Cancer. The Moon in Cancer lends energies towards efforts around your home and domestic life.
Moon – The moon is in a Waxing Gibbous so we can still work on growing, manifesting, attracting, drawing in, and increasing things we desire and wish to see come to fruition.
So today – Combine the Waxing Moon with Thursday’s energies to focus on self improvement, drawing in luck, or religious pursuits
Combine the Waxing Moon with Cancer to focus on your home and domestic life.
Mercury Retrograde begins today – so be extra patient with others around misunderstandings and be extra cautious with the words you choose.
